The 2008 model year is winding down at East Coast Volkswagen and the new 2009 Volkswagens are starting to show-up at Myrtle Beach VW. The model line-up has some new faces and updated styling.
East Coast Volkswagen Passat CC
The Myrtle Beach VW Passat CC is a sleek sedan that is following the growing trend of a four door coupe. The new Passat CC is sportier and more luxurious than the current Passat and will be offered in three trim levels. The Sportline and Highline feature a 200-hp, 2.0 TSI engine with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed Tiptronic automatic. The Highline V6 boasts an all-wheel drive with a 280-hp 3.6L V6 Tiptronic.
The East Coast Volkswagen offers a panoramic sunroof, navigation system with a 30-Gb hard drive, 600-watt premium sound system and adaptive bi-xenon headlights.
Myrtle Beach VW Routan
The new Volkswagen Routan is a seven passenger minivan that was jointly developed with Chrysler. Routan comes in four trim levels which are powered by a 251-hp, 4.0-litre V6 and 6-speed automatic transmission with an automatic mode.
Myrtle Beach VW Trendline comes with stability control, power windows, heated mirrors, keyless entry and a 3-zone climate control. The Trendline starts around $27,595 and the loaded Execline model will list for $49,975. The Execline includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a 500-watt sound system, rear-seat DVD entertainment system and navigation.
The new Volkswagen Tiguan compact SUV launched earlier this year. It is powered by a 200-hp 2.0 TSI motor. The base front-drive Trendline model starts at $27,595 which features a 6-speed manual transmission. The Highline model includes an all-wheel drive, 6-speed Tiptronic transmission, 18-inch alloy wheels, adaptive bi-xenon headlights, dual-zone climate control and comfortable leather seating and an optional navigation system.
VW City Golf
The new 2009 Volkswagen City Golf has had minor changes including an exterior color change and the standard City Golf now rides on 16-inch wheels as opposed to last years 15-inch wheels.
East Coast Volkswagen Rabbit
Volkswagen Rabbit is available in 3 and 5-door versions. 2009 brings new available options for the VW Rabbit including a Sport package that boasts 17-inch alloy wheels, bi-xenon headlights, fog lights, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and a sport tuned suspension.
Jetta
Jetta receives a new fuel efficient TDI motor that produces 140-hp and 235 lb-ft of torque put to the ground via a 6-speed gearbox in either manual or automatic. The 2.5-litre Jetta is powered by an inline-5 and a 2.0-litre turbo motor is offered as well. For larger families, East Coast Volkswagen also offers a Jetta Wagon. All 2009 Jetta's come standard with side-curtain airbags.
Volkswagen Passat Sedan
A navigation system with a 30-Gb hard drive is a new option for the Comfortline and Highline trims and also boasts a sport option to fit the car with 18-inch alloy wheels. There are three new exterior colors available in 09' as well.
Eos
The Eos added some desired options such as new colors, navigation system with a 30-Gb hard drive and bi-xenon headlights.
East Coast Volkswagen 2009 Touareg
The new Touareg no longer comes with the V8 engine option, but the popular 280-hp, 3.6L V6 still remains. 2009 Volkswagen Touareg offers some attractive new repackaged trim levels.
