Datsun Kembali 2013, Ini Komitmennya

Sumber : Motorstown | Author : -

Kami yakin New Datsun akan memenuhi harapan masyarakat," tegas Cobee.
Sayang, perjalanannya teramat singkat. Dan Indonesia sendiri, penjualan Datsun berakhir sampai 1984.

Increasing The Life Of Your Car In 10 Ways

For most of us, buying a car is an important and significant life decision. Cars are great companions but they require a little bit of care to keep them running longer and safer. Here are ten ways you can extend the life of your car.

Care For Your Car Whenever You Drive It
* Make sure you allow the car's engine to warm up before racing it down the street.

* Don't let your car idle to warm up as it can only result in incomplete fuel combustion.

* Shift to neutral at red lights and give your engine and transmission a break.

Choose Your Fuel Wisely

* Dirty gasoline and diesel can limit the life of your car engine. Avoid stations that don't use filters.

* It is also very important that you avoid fuelling your car immediately after the station pump has been filled; the gasoline is all swirled up and that allows sediments to get to your injectors.

Keep Your Keychain Light

* It may seem like a light load but in fact the extra keys attached to your car key put a heavy load on your ignition.

* Given the bouncing of the keychain, the strain adds to the wear of the tumblers inside the ignition leading to failure in the end.

Take Care of Your Floor Mats

* Used cars or new cars, they all have floor mats. No matter the type of mats you are using, you need to clean them regularly as they protect your car carpeting from water, mud, and dirt.

Care For Your Door and Window Seals

* Protect your window and door seals using a rubber protective coating.

* Use specially designed rubber cleaners when you clean them.

* Repair or replace seals when they start letting water leak inside the car.

Protect Your Washer Fluid System

* Don't use water instead of washer fluid as it will not clean your windshield properly.

* Don't run the windshield washer system when it is empty as it will damage the pump.

* Never use water for the washer system in winter as it will freeze and damage the system.

Protect Your Car When Carrying Loads

* Make sure you respect the roof load specifications on your car.

* Make sure you know the weight limit of your car so that you don't overload.

* Use appropriate racks to store luggage or goods on your car's roof and inside the cargo compartment.

Keep Your Car Clean During Winter

* The salt, dirt, slush, sand, and ice that are so common during winter times make your car rust.

* Clean difficult-to-reach areas of the car where dirt can cause the most damage.

Take Care of Your Tires

* Keep your tires properly inflated according to the specifications.

* Check the caps on your tire valves to make sure you don't get a flat tire overnight.

* Uneven wear of your tires may be a sign of poor wheel alignment.

* Make sure there is no moisture trapped inside the tires that can corrode rims and also cause pressure variations.

Make Sure You Have All Your Hubcaps

* Check that your hubcaps are not loosened.

* Replace damaged hubcaps on time before they get lost.

* Remove expensive hubcaps before taking the car to repair shop to make sure they are not damaged.

These are all simple ways that can extend the life of a car, especially in the case of used cars. Any car owner should be aware that a car is reliable as long as it is taken care of. A car can run for many years without any issues, if you incorporate these easy tips into your long term car maintenance strategy.

- Reliability and Quality. There are people who simply prefer quality and reliability to all other features. That means that they will not care for appearance, running costs or styling.

- Performance. For true automotive enthusiasts there is nothing better than a performing car that can reach incredible top speeds. Used BMW for sale may be just what they are looking for.

- Running Costs. For many people, a car is an investment and running costs are quite important in this respect. They look for maintenance and repair costs as well as for fuel costs.

- Safety. Airbags, excellent results in safety tests, smart breaking systems, and other safety systems are what you should look for if safety is your priority.

- High Specifications. You may be looking for one of those cars that come with extra new features such as key less engine start, electronic parking breaks, and many other modern gadgets.

Make sure you understand the features that your car offers before you make your final decision. If you want to buy BMW from Arizona or look for used BMW for sale, do adequate research and make sure you test drive the car. Over 6,000 bookings received for Safari Storm: Tata

CHENNAI: Auto-major Tata Motors has received over 6,000 bookings for its latest upgraded Sports Utility Vehicle variant " Tata Safari Storm", a senior company official said here today.

"This comes with the new VariCor engine, offering better refinement. We have got over 6,000 bookings (since its launch)," Tata Motors Head (Utility Vehicle Product Group) Ashesh Dhar told PTI after launching the variant in the Tamil Nadu market.

The company has launched the vehicle in the Northern and Eastern markets and it is gradually launching the Storm in the Southern and Western markets, he said.

Noting that the company has been making 'significant'investments to develop this variant at its Pune facility, he said the latest product would not cannibalise its other SUV Tata Aria.

"This will be for those who look for better refinement offering sporty performance. That is a premium SUV loaded with luxury features", he said.

Observing that the Tamil Nadu market constitutes about 17 per cent of the company's total SUV sales, he said the other product " Sumo Gold" has got encouraging response since its launch last year.

"Sumo Gold has been very well received (in the market). It has surpassed sales of double its volumes since its launch", he said.

To a query, he said the company would simultaneously retail its existing Safari equipped with Di-Cor engine starting from Rs 8.44 lakh along with Safari Storm at Rs 9.95 lakh (Ex-showroom Chennai).

Benefits Of A Used Harley-davidson Motorcycle

Harley-Davidson motorcycles have been a beloved brand of motorcycles for many years. Thousands of people enjoy riding their Harleys on the open road with nothing but the sound of the wind blowing past their helmet and the roar of the engine rumbling beneath them. Since Harley-Davidson motorcycles are such a popular and high-quality brand of motorcycle, many people search for Harleys when shopping for a motorcycle. Though buying a brand new Harley may seem appealing, there are many benefits to buying a used Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

First, used Harleys tend to be a lot cheaper than brand new Harleys. Buying brand new vehicles over used vehicles almost always means getting what you want for a cheaper price. You can save hundreds or even thousands of dollars buying a used Harley instead of a brand new one.
You may think that this would also mean sacrificing quality to save that money, but this is not always the case. Many people who buy Harleys tend to take very good care of them. Harley-Davidson motorcycles are icons in the motorcycling community. Most people who own them take great pride in caring for their motorcycle, which will show when they try to resell it. However, many private sellers will have decent or even low prices with room for negotiation in order to sell it faster. Dealerships also lower their prices sometimes in order to move their products faster, but they tend to not have nearly as much room for negotiation nor do they tend to lower their prices very much on their own.

Second, many people buy Harleys to customize them for their own personalities and styles. There is a vast array of add-ons and customizations that motorcycle lovers add to their Harleys to make them unique and stylish. Some of these add-ons can cost thousands of dollars and they can be a great benefit to you both on the road and if you should ever choose to sell the motorcycle in the future.

More customization means more added to the price, but it is most likely much less than what you'd pay if you bought a brand new Harley and did all of that customization by yourself.

Third, Harleys tend to hold their value throughout the years. Any vehicle depreciates in value once it has been driven off the lot, but Harleys are beloved brands that tend to hold their values steady even after changing hands numerous times. As long as they are being cared for properly, depreciation isn't a big issue with Harleys.

Fourth, you have the chance to see and buy a rare or discontinued Harley. There are quite a few models of Harley-Davidson motorcycles that have been discontinued and some that are incredibly rare. Looking for used Harley-Davidson motorcycles gives you a chance to find, ride and own a motorcycle that not many people have had the chance to ride on before, own or even see. You may even get lucky and buy a Harley that is very rare and worth more than you paid for it.

Fifth, buying used Harleys gives you a wider range of selection than buying a new Harley would. Dealerships tend to showcase the newer models and not the older models. This leaves you somewhat stuck with just looking at newer models and any models a dealer may want to push out the door. Searching through used Harley ads gives you a much wider selection of choices in terms of model, color, style and more.

Sixth, buying a used Harley gives you a chance to get personal opinions on how well the motorcycle runs. Some sellers may embellish on their motorcycles to make a sale, but most people are very honest about their experiences with the motorcycle. You can get an idea of how well it runs and how well the owner has taken care of it after some conversation.

You may believe a new motorcycle has no problems right out of the lot, but this is not true. Many people buy new motorcycles and vehicles only to find an issue or factory defect that the dealership never noticed before. Previous owners usually know all of the current and potential problems with their motorcycles before they try to sell them.

Finally, buying a used Harley-Davidson motorcycle saves you from the frustration and risks of buying from a dealership. Many vehicle dealerships in general, not just Harley-Davidson, tend to try and nudge their customers into buying certain things they don't need like add-ons, options or insurance. They also may try to sneak additional fees into your payment. In addition, buying a new car from a dealership has quite a lot of paperwork and financial issues to discuss and work through.

Buying a used Harley from a private seller requires little trouble or paperwork. All you need to pay for when buying a used Harley is the new registration, a new tag and, of course, the title to the motorcycle. There's no need to jump through any hoops or get pressured into buying any additional features. Just be sure to check the NADA motorcycle value before you buy.

Whether you are a motorcycle enthusiast, a collector or just someone looking to start off in the motorcycle world, a used Harley Davidson can be just the right motorcycle for you.

How To Repair Deep Paint Chips And Scratches On Your Car

Don’t assume that you have to pay an auto body repair shop to fix minor chips and scratches in your car’s paint. The cost of a chipped or scratched paint repair can be absurdly expensive when done by a professional. You can do it yourself with some touchup paint and a few extra materials from an automotive parts store and a hobby store. This process will work on metal panels, plastic panels, doors, fenders, hoods, and bumpers.

First, buy some one part automotive fill putty from your local auto parts store. It’s usually red. Also get a rubber squeegee, some masking tape, some rubbing compound, and some 1500 grit sandpaper.
At the hobby store or art supply store, you’ll want to get the finest tip touch up brush they sell. Finally, at your car dealer or online, you’ll want to buy an auto paint kit mixed specifically for your car’s color.

Now clean the scratch with some window cleaner. Place masking paper above, below, and to the sides of the scratch so that you have framed it like a portrait.

Then apply a small amount of red putty into the scratch with the sandpaper until the scratch is filled completely. Remove the masking tape. The putty should go dry when it turns pink, in about 5 minutes.

Now lightly sand the pink putty with 1500 grit sandpaper until it is flat. Don’t worry if it hazes up your paint, as the rubbing compound will make your paint clear again soon. Keep sanding until all of the excess putty has been removed and you have a completely filled, completely smooth scratch or chip. If you find low spots or dents in the putty, apply more fresh red putty, allow to dry, then sand with 1500 grit until flat.

You will have sanded your paint beyond the damage, causing it to become hazy and dully. Apply a small amount of rubbing compound — about the amount of toothpaste you would apply to your toothbrush — to the hazy paint and rub in a circular motion with a cotton or microfiber towel for 60 – 90 seconds. Your paint should become glossy and clear. This may require multiple applications.

Now that you have filled the scratch, you will want to apply the minimum amount of paint over the putty necessary. Less is more! Bad touch-up repairs are the result of applying too much paint or using a brush that’s much larger than the damage itself. Therefore, dip your fine tipped touch up brush in your touch up paint, then apply over the putty, being careful not to apply excessive paint. One technique that reduces brush strokes is to apply the paint in small dots, connecting them from left to right, until done.

Once done, don’t be too critical of your repair! It will cost you less than five percent what a professional will charge, but be far better than a five percent visual improvement, so a carefully done scratch repair is well worth your time and investment.

What Are The Benefits Of Vehicle Leasing?

In todays world, driving a luxury car is now even more affordable thanks to the different finance and leasing options available to us. In the United States around one quarter of the cars on the road are leased.

In the UK, whilst Vehicle leasing is still popular, many drivers prefer to take out car loans of purchase finance which means that they ultimately own the car at the end of the finance term. During this time the car will depreciate in value and servicing costs can become very expensive.

However, there are a number of benefits for drivers when it comes to leasing their vehicles.

Firstly, you could be driving a car that under normal circumstances you wouldn't be able to afford, with all the extra bells, whistles and trimmings. You could also get a car from a manufacturer that might have been previously out of your price range. The car will also be brand new - again something that you might not have been able to afford if you were purchasing it outright.

During the period of the lease it is quite common for road tax to be included, so there is an annual fee that you don't have to worry about. On top of that you can also get maintenance packages included in your lease so things like servicing (and now very often tyres) are included in the monthly lease price.

One of the biggest factors financially is there that is no large outlay when you pick up the car. Some lease plans may require 2-3 months deposit at the beginning but you may only be talking a deposit of £750 compared to thousands on a purchase or finance package. The price of the vehicle remains the same for the period of the lease so you can plan your finances thanks to the fixed cost motoring of the monthly payments. Lease payments are also very often much less costly than repayments on a hire purchase package or car loan.

Lastly, car leasing is a great way to get a brand new car every three to four years meaning that you can be driving the latest models that are more economical on fuel and have improved handling, performance and safety features.

All in all, it makes a lot of sense to consider a vehicle leasing contract when you are looking to next change your car. The only real downside is that you never get to own the vehicle, but when it comes to cars they are always going to depreciate in value and as they get older become more expensive to maintain and run. With a vehicle contract lease you don’t have to worry about this, you can simply get a new car at the end of your term!

Tips To Follow While Buying A Used Car

Money saved is money gained. And, generating revenue does not come easy. Therefore you have to remember that to save money, particularly when purchasing a used car you will need to work harder and smarter!

Purchasing a pre-owned vehicle is more difficult compared to purchasing a new one. Guidelines of assessment are not straight because even if the cars are of the same model and same year, there might be a difference in terms of mileage or maybe might appear completely different as a result of the disparity in their servicing past. Therefore in this situation, you will have to be educated and for that you will need to check out a number of dealerships to understand the market situation.
You can select to purchase a pre-owned car from a private dealer or even from a NV used cars dealership. Whatever option you select, the golden guidelines of bargaining remain the same! Keep patience, do not get carried away by your feelings and have some alternative car options ready. It's been noticed that purchasers who show their keen interest for a specific vehicle lose on the negotiation table. Therefore it's going to be better if you review a bit more and get a feel of the market price prior to taking any impulsive decision.

Guidelines to follow when negotiating price with a private seller

* Be very impassionate as well as straight in your dealing.

* Very carefully notice and point out defects in the car for instance scratches, stains, noises and so on. This would put a psychological pressure on the seller to lower the selling price.

* Keep in mind that people who show their interest of walking away from a deal are able to negotiate much better.

* Always wait for a seller to make the first offer. A good way to make this possible is to put a straight query to the seller, what is the lowest price for the car?

* Be ready for negotiations. For every offer, point out the flaws apparent in the car as well as examine it with other cars and then somewhat increase your price. Adhere to this technique till you think that you have cited the best value.

Guidelines to adhere to when bargaining price with a dealership

* Make sure you bear in mind there are many pre-owned cars for sale in Las Vegas, therefore there's a great chance of you getting a car of your choice as well as in your budget. All you have to do is check out as many NV pre-owned autos dealership as you can.

* Dealers will always keep a 10-20% profit margin in their selling price. If someone is asking a higher price, they're prone to bargain for a lot more while dealers quoting a low price might not negotiate at all.

* Check out several dealers to comprehend the market of used cars for sale in Las Vegas. Furthermore, try to study 4-5 separate vehicles, preferable of the same model as well as year to understand the difference in their condition as well as their cost.

* Although the dealer will cajole you to bargain the value then and there however steer clear of falling into the trap. Make sure to go for negotiations over phone or email. This should help you avoid coming under the dealer's pressure.

* When bargaining provide estimates provided to you by other dealers. This makes your dealership realize that you're not any beginner and are fully aware of the market. Apart from, this can frighten the dealer of losing a deal.

* Show eagerness to purchase a car today when the dealer agrees to your value. Your significance will even more put a pressure on the car dealership.

* When you have tried out all the methods try one final reduction. Tell the NV used cars dealership, you will just drive in for a purchase if the cost is decreased down further. The technique might sometimes work out to your advantage.
