Transform Your Cars Interior On A Limited Budget.

By: Tex

In today’s society every teenager dreams of having a luxurious car that all his or her friends will be envious of. However not everyone can afford to go and purchase the latest in luxury sports cars. But do not be dismayed just because you do not have the funds to purchase your dream car, you are able to transform your car in to a stunning looking vehicle that all your friends will envy, just by giving it a much-needed makeover.
The varieties of accessories that are now available for your car are astounding from body kits, alloy wheels to immaculate interior car accessories, not only making your car look stunning but making it feel like a new car all round. So how can you transform your car?

Car seat covers - Over time leather seats get scratched, and fabric seats show stains and tears. Buying new car seat covers will cover up those stains and scratches, while giving your car a ‘fashionable twist’ and your car a ‘renewed life’. Car seat covers are easy to install, and cost a fraction of replacing leather car seats.

Car floor mats - Rubber floor mats can cover up worn out spots on your car’s floor, while giving it a cleaner look. If you can spend a little more, you can also customize your floor mats to fit the model of car exactly.

Car sun shades - You can select from a wide range of sun shades that fit the front windshield, back windshield or side windows. And you can make a ‘fashion statement’ by picking out sunshades that are colour coordinated, or maybe feature a favourite activity, scenery or sports team.

Steering wheel cover - Leather steering wheel covers quickly and easily slip onto your steering wheel, giving even the most beat-up car a new ‘racy’ look. Contoured ribs in the steering wheel cover not only give it a stylish look, but massage your hands while driving.

Car seat cushions - Car seat cushions can ‘jazz up’ the interior or your car, but you can also buy a massage car cushion or heated cushion to make your ride a little more comfortable

All of these accessories can turn even the oldest car into a flashier car, at a fraction of the cost of a paint job, or buying a new car. Not only are these accessories fashionable, but also functional by helping save your car’s seats, floor, steering wheel and helping keep it cool during the hot summer months. Padded car seat cushions and steering wheel covers will also make driving your car more comfortable. How much will it cost for a ‘car makeover’? While it depends on what you buy and where you buy it, purchasing accessories from an online wholesale car accessory dealer will help you save a lot of money versus shopping at your local car dealer. When you buy from an online wholesale car accessory dealer, you can plan on seeing big changes in your car’s appearance on a limited budget.

Used Cars For The People

Things which were a luxury a few decades ago have now become a necessity, for example mobile phones and cars. Yes, these two commodities not only add high-class status but also fulfill the demands of communication and commuting. Earlier the price of these products was so high that many people couldn't afford them. But, with growing time and trend, the cost of these items have drastically reduced. However, many people still consider them to be expensive due to the financial quake. Thus, there are many dealers who offer these items for cheap. Besides, the economic downturn has affected some of major Irish car dealers as well.
Thus, some of the car dealers trade in used cars (very popularly known and second hand cars) so that they can profit the buyers as well as the sellers. This proves that, even in the hard economic situation, it is possible to do quite well and become a fighter.

They have also made an online presence to make their deal easy and effective. Both the parties contact the dealers either to purchase the cars for sale or to get guidelines on 'sell my car'. So, now you are just a few clicks away from finding thousands of used cars online in various countries like Ireland. Like shopping for clothes, the purchase of cars follows the same conception that more websites you visit, more knowledge about the product and current market condition will be available.

For better understanding, the car dealers post detailed pictures of cars, giving you a vague idea of how well the car is maintained or looks. If the pictures are satisfactory, then you can plan a visit to the store to personally check out a particular car.

Once you have found a feasible deal, you can even get a car insurance quote for the car you are interested in. Again, the online terrain will be of great help in this case as well - thanks to the possibility of obtaining almost every detail with ease. Buying a used car online is now easier and cheaper than ever before.

Before you plan to book it, do consider the price range. Some car dealers tag a price to make sales, whereas others have a price label to make a customer. Now, it's up to you to choose; you either want a reliable dealer or a money-maker.

Other than that, it is also essential to mark that the deal not only provides you with basic services but also offers some extra value for your benefit like after sales services, car insurance, 24 hour recovery service, full crash repairs, replacement vehicles supplied at special rates - to build a name.

In addition to used cars, these car dealers also offer brand new cars. So, if you think that you can survive this economic burden even after purchasing a first-hand car, then one more option is open for you.

So, select the best dealer for your car. Make the booking and your new car will be in your garage in just a few days.

Why Honda Owes Much Of Its Success To The Civic And Good Timing

By: Anthony Carwick

The Civic and the philosophy of conservation were paramount in Honda’s global success as a major player in the car industry. Before the North American launch of its most popular model, the Civic, in the early 1970s, Honda was recognized as a leading motorcycle manufacturer. Its launch of smaller sized cars in its home market and later in the United States proved unsuccessful in creating a name for Honda in the global automobile industry.

The Civic, compared to the massive, fuel guzzling American cars, was compact in shape and showed great potential in saving gasoline costs for the average American. It was a four-seater, fuel economical car and was an instant success at a time when the energy crisis in America was at its peak and households could no longer afford unwarranted luxuries. Honda’s long-standing position on saving resources and incorporating these values in its engineering and design had finally paid off.

Apart from its radically smaller size and fuel savings, the Civic was a enjoyable car for travel within and between cities. The Civic was introduced as a two and three door, front-wheel drive, hatchback with a water-cooled, four-cylinder engine. The American concept of large cars was challenged and families willingly accepted lesser space for more savings. The Civic’s tremendous success led to Honda pursuing a more aggressive and confident strategy of introducing further variations and models into the market.

The newer models introduced over subsequent years saw a change in shape and improving performance. The Civic’s hood was extended and front fender redesigned to accommodate a larger engine with low emissions to meet regulatory standards. It was now available as a four-door, five-speed wagon, complementing the existing three-door hatchback edition. Car buyers now had more alternatives and car sales increased dramatically.

The Accord and Prelude were introduced to accommodate a more upscale segment of the market, while the Civic continued to be one of the best cars available in the economy, compact class. The new models turned out to be highly popular as well, further solidifying Honda’s growing reputation as a top car maker. At a time when the deterioration of the environment was a concern, Honda was already a step ahead of the competition having long established an environmentally friendly policy in all aspects of its operations.

The Civic’s immaculately designed interior and exterior, its low fuel consumption, countless trims and features, incredible handling and dependability have won it several awards in its class. Honda was one of the first foreign car manufacturers to setup operations in the United States and has helped to keep it affordable for its target audience. Honda’s well time strategy helped strengthen its position in the North American market and gauging by its past performance, will continue to reap the benefits for a long time ahead.

Simple Car Security Tips!

Car security is of more concern than ever today, as the rates of car theft, car break-ins and stolen car parts are on the rise. Here are some ways to improve your car security.

High-Tech Security: Car Alarms
A car alarm warns would-be thieves that they’ll have an obstacle to overcome if they’re tempted by your vehicle. Whether you purchase a vehicle with a pre-installed car security system or purchase an antitheft device after you drive the vehicle home, a car alarm is one of the most effective ways to deter vehicle theft and break-in.
Common Sense Security Steps
An unlocked car is a temptation for thieves, so the easiest security measure you can take is to lock your car at all times. At home, at work, at the grocery store parking lot—no matter how briefly you’re away from your car, lock it up.

Improve security by eliminating a big reason thieves break in to vehicles: hide valuables (or take them with you) whenever you leave your car. Items of interest to thieves include purses, wallets, electronic devices, CDs, computers, briefcases, and any personal documents that could be used to steal your identity.

A spare key on your car’s body is a security risk. Experienced criminals know where to look to find a hidden key. If you’re prone to locking your keys in your car, or losing your car keys, put a spare key in your wallet or purse instead.

The last word about vehicle security is: location. Park your car near lamp posts and/or security cameras, as well as near areas with high foot traffic, i.e., stairwells or mall entrances in parking garages.

Ford F-150 SuperCab Tow Test

by: Stuart Bourdon

We tested the all-new 2009 Ford F-150 pickup equipped with a three-valve 5.4L V-8 and six-speed auto transmission in Trailer Boats’ March 2009 issue (“Power Packed”), and it was impressive. We found it to offer abundant power, outstanding drivability and firmly planted handling.

Months later, however, we got to thinking that it might be interesting to see what this truck could do if it was packing one of the two available smaller 4.6L V-8 engines under its hood. To take the question a step farther, we went “old school” and had one delivered with the two-valve 4.6. Would it perform up to our expectations? Would it burn significantly less fuel? We had a lot of questions. Here’s what we discovered.

MUCH OF THE SAME

For all intents and purposes, you get the same truck when you order it with one of the smaller V-8 engines. It’s based on a fully boxed, hydro formed steel ladder-style frame, a double wishbone short- and long-arm independent front suspension with coil-over shocks with redesigned double ball-joint links for improved handling, and a leaf-spring suspended live rear axle with outboard-mounted shocks for improved roll stability.

AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control) systems are integrated into the four-channel, four-wheel ABS brakes to help keep the vehicle under control in skid or body roll scenarios.

All 2009 F-150s also come with the new Trailer Sway Control system, which is especially sensitive to yaw-type motions in the truck’s chassis, and can signal sway-dampening measures to the engine and brake system to help bring trailer sway under control.

The interior is the same basic design, although the 4x2 STX SuperCab model was far less dressed up than the 5.4-equipped SuperCrew we had before. And certainly the rear seat passengers in the SuperCab will be less comfortable than those who ride in the SuperCrew’s second row of seats.

All of the controls, dials and switches are easy to reach and manipulate. In general, visibility around the truck from the driver’s seat is good, although the large headrests on the front seats block the driver’s over-the-left-shoulder view through the driver-side rear passenger door window on the SuperCab model.

SOME DIFFERENCES

As far as capability goes, the 4.6-powered F-150 doesn’t give up too much compared to the 5.4 when it comes to payload and GVWR. With the 4.6, the payload drops only 150 pounds to 1580, and the GVWR goes down just 300 pounds to 6700. The GCWR and tow rating take a pretty good hit, though. The GCWR drops 6000 pounds to 11,100; the maximum trailer weight rating loses 5400 points for a 5800-pound tow rating.

Let’s look at this with some perspective, however. How many of you actually tow a trailer boat that weighs 10,000 pounds? Not that many it seems. In fact, our reader survey shows that about 75 percent of Trailer Boats readers tow less than 7000 pounds, and around 55 percent tow less than 5000 pounds. That means the 4.6-powered F-150 we tested is capable of towing the boats owned by more than half of the readers of Trailer Boats.

With the 4.6, you don’t get Ford’s new high-tech six-speed transmission. Our tester came with a four-speed OD automatic transmission. Quite frankly, it worked perfectly fine, with crisp, clean shifts and no noticeable gear hunting.

You don’t get the higher price, either. The 5.4-equipped F-150 4x4 SuperCrew we tested had a base MSRP of $37,990 and a price as tested of $46,495 (loaded to the gills with extras). The 4.6-equipped and modestly optioned 4x2 SuperCab carried a price as tested of $30,990. Its base MSRP was $26,495. Take the difference and stick it in the bank.

BOTTOM LINE

The numbers tell much of the story. The boats towed during our testing of the two trucks were within 700 pounds of each other. In both towing and non-towing situations, the two-valve 4.6 showed moderate fuel savings in comparison to the 5.4.

On flat highway stretches and city driving with the boat in tow, the 4.6 never broke a sweat. It pulled the load from a standing stop with relative ease, and cruised the highway with very little pedal pressure. Only when we hit the hills did the truck begin to show its Achilles’ heel. On mild uphill grades, we shifted down into third gear (turned OD off) and had no trouble. But when the climb got steeper, the transmission had to be dropped down into second gear, and we made the top of the 6 percent Cajon Grade at a 50 mph pace with the engine revving at about 3500 rpm.

Overall, the Ford we tested with the 4.6 is a solid performer capable of towing the 5250-pound boat. It has its shortcomings when compared to the 5.4, but this test confirmed what we had already theorized — the 2009 Ford F-150 4x2 powered by the two-valve 4.6L V-8 is a good option to consider when looking for a new tow vehicle. It can handle the trailer boats that most of you have parked in your driveways.

Toyota History In Usa

Toyota is an example of the most vital carmakers on the planet. 2007 stats place Toyota as the #1 world carmaker and it should come as barely a surprise, as they have built their reputation of trustworthy carmakers. Toyota started out in the mid 1930s with its first engine and its first passenger vehicle.

When the World War II started, Toyota was forced by the Japanese executive to build army autos. In fact, Toyota started to start a giant auto maker after the war, a time when the Japanese economy was staring to develop and there had been an augmenting need to inexpensive method of transport. Many models were copies of American vehicles (in fact, the first Land Cruiser was a copy after the American military Jeep).
It is in 1958 that Toyota sold its first models in the US. The first models imported were the Toyopet and the Land Cruiser. Soon after that, seeing that neither models have satisfactory sales, Toyota designed the first models especially for the American market: the Avalon and the Camry.

By the early 1960s, Toyota has opened its first research and development facilities in the US, focusing more on international sales. In 1967, Toyota launched another all-American model, its Crown sedan and the Crown lorry. To enter the Yankee muscle automobile market, till then controlled by domestic players,

Toyota made a decision to import the 2000GT sport model. While not very fast, it proved superior to many local models as it was better built and had a better handling. Seeing that the 1980s America was looking for more luxurious models, Toyota has launched its luxury brand Lexus in the US. When making the 1st Lexus, the LS400, Toyota has done everything they could to supply a better auto than Mercedes and BMW.

Toyota refined all its Yank models and its Lexus brand introduced newer, technology richer vehicles and by the mid 1990s Toyota was seen as a pacesetter in particulars of trustworthiness and build quality.

Today's Toyota is fighting to keep its first position as the automobile manufacturer with the biggest sales and units produced. In the US Toyota has double the sales of Honda with both its Toyota and Lexus brands. Its headquarters are situated in New York and Toyota has five assembly plants throughout the United States in Alabama, Kentucky, Indiana, Texas and West Virginia.

Toyota is currently developing the US models locally, in America, as they have seen that models made especially for the Japanese or the European markets do not reach the same sales numbers as the models made accordingly to the needs of the American market. In Alabama, Kentucky, Indiana, Texas and West Virginia.

Toyota is at present developing the US models domestically, in America, as they have seen that models made particularly for the Japanese or the EU markets don't reach the same sales numbers as the models made accordingly to the wants of the Yank market.

Avoiding Car Air Conditioning Problems

One of the most frustrating problems you can encounter with a modern motor car is a failed or failing air conditioning system. It is only then that you become aware of how much you rely on the comfort of air conditioning when driving in hot summer climates. You also discover just how good or bad car service centers are at diagnosing and repairing such a problem.

Air conditioning in most cars will usually perform reliably and effectively for a good deal of time after the purchase of a new car. However, this is dependent on the standard of installation of the air conditioning components and the reliability of the service repair center that maintains your car for you. My experience is that the ability of mechanics to service and repair car air conditioning varies greatly between dealerships and air conditioning specialists. One is not necessarily better than the other and both may fail to diagnose certain problems in the air conditioning system and/or effectively repair the system.
The following examples of diagnostic failures can prove extremely expensive when air conditioning is being repaired:

1. The air conditioning system is pressure tested and a leak is found in a connecting hose. Hose components are replaced and system re-gassed only for air conditioning to fail a second time;

2. The second attempt by service center reveals evaporator, condenser or compressor problems or problems sometimes accompanied by a failure in the cooling fan system.

In the first case, you may have paid a minimum of $700 Australian dollars, for example, for a repair that did not diagnose the real problem of a damaged evaporator or condenser. The follow up repair may add an additional $1,000 to $1,200 on the earlier bill. Initial correct diagnosis of the problem or problems may have led to a total of $1,000 rather than combined bills of $1,800 to $2,000. This is an alarming example of how poor mechanic performance can lead to large bills being paid by the car owner. Should you require your car service center to regularly service the air conditioning to prevent future problems? The answer would generally be - yes. However, I have driven the same car for 12 years with little servicing on the air conditioning system and no problems have occurred. Where as, I know people whose cars have developed air conditioning faults after routine servicing.

A further complication with car air conditioning can be caused by extra computerization such as when a climate control regulator is fitted to the system. Some mechanics can have difficulty resetting the calibration on a climate control system with the result being there is no real graduation between the settings. That is, the air conditioning functions at extremes either hot or cold and nothing in between. The car owner naturally drives away feeling very dissatisfied when a mechanic produces a result of this kind.

In order to prevent future problems in your car air conditioning system there is one easy step you can take. Make sure you run the air conditioning for short intervals in winter as well as summer. By doing this you will help to avoid any drying out of seals within the system, which when damaged, can cause leaks to develop within the air conditioning and ultimately the gassing to be lost. Any such damage will always require costly repairs. This is a case of prevention is always better than cure.

Hybrid Car Glossary

Protect the carpet from dirt and moisture by adding all weather floor mats to your car. These are typically made with ridges to trap mud, dirt, sand and water and keep them away from the carpet.
B20, B100:
Seen at diesel pumps, these designations indicate the amount of biodiesel blended with petroleum-based diesel. So B20 is 20% biodiesel, 80% low-sulfur diesel, while B100 is 100% biodiesel.
Backup Sensor
Backup sensors can be audible or visual and help eliminate the risk of hitting or running over things.

BEV - Battery Electric Vehicle
A battery-electric vehicles uses an electric motor for power source. The electricity powering the motor is stored in a battery pack that must be recharged from an electric power source.

Biodiesel
Diesel fuel made at least partly from non-petroleum sources, such as used restaurant grease. Most diesel-powered vehicles can use biodiesel without conversion or alteration of the engine.

Bioethanol
A vehicle fuel based on starchy plant materials, commonly corn in the U.S. It has a lower emissions rating than petroleum. Also known as ethanol.

Bumper Guards
Protect your bumpers with bumper guards. Bumpers can get banged up when you're loading and unloading your trunk. Protect your bumper from nicks and scratches.

By-Wire Technology
Similarly to "Fly-by-Wire" technology found in fighter planes, hybrid car "Drive-by-Wire" technology replaces mechanical connections with electrical connections to reduce weight and provide more sophisticated and reliable responsiveness.

CAFE Standards
Corporate Average Fuel Economy. Each automaker must average the mileage of every vehicle it builds. The standards were enacted in 1975 to increase overall fuel efficiency. The standard for 2009 is 27.5 mpg for cars, 20.7 mpg for light trucks, and 23.1 mpg for trucks under 8500 pounds.

Cargo Net
A cargo net helps keep your groceries and other items from rolling around in the trunk. They are typically very easy to install. You'll wonder how you ever lived without one!

CBG - Cleaner Burning Gasoline
Cleaner-burning gasoline is fuel that meets requirements established by the California Air Resources Board (ARB). All gasoline sold in California for use in motor vehicles must meet these requirements, which have been in effect since Spring 1996.

Chassis Stiffener
A chassis stiffener bolts on to the subframe to make the unibody stiffer. Your car will feel more stable an will turn sharper and be more responsive.

Diesel
This petroleum-based fuel gets higher fuel efficiency than gasoline. It used to have more tailpipe emissions, but technological innovations in the past decade have nearly erased this concern and dropped diesel emissions to near gasoline levels.

E85
A fuel blend that contains 85% ethanol, 15% gasoline.

Engine Block Heater
Engine block heaters let you start your car quicker in freezing weather. This saves fuel and battery power for your hybrid cars.

EPA
Environmental Protection Agency. Together with the Department of Energy, the EPA issues mileage and emissions ratings for all cars sold in the U.S. See FuelEconomy.gov.

Extended Range Electric Vehicle
A type of PHEV where the car drives entirely on electric power, but there is a small gasoline engine on board that runs a generator to provide electricity for the batteries and electric motor. The addition of the gasoline engine allows the electric motor to go further on a charge.

Ethanol
A high-octane, low-emissions fuel long used in racing. Now it’s made from renewable plant materials and can be used in regular vehicles, though it gets lower fuel economy ratings than gasoline.

EV
Electric Vehicle. These cars have only batteries and an electric motor–no gasoline or other fuel required, and no emissions are released into the air. They are refueled by plugging the batteries into an outlet.

Electric-Only Mode
Also known as Stealth Mode. In full hybrid cars, electric-only mode allows the vehicle to drive at low speeds without the engine turning on.

EV Mode
An EV mode switch lets you run your Prius in electric only mode up to 34 mph to increase your hybrid mpg and performance. While this option is built into every Prius, it is disabled for North American hybrids. An EV Mode Option lets you turn this option back on.

Flex Fuel
A vehicle that can accept regular gasoline or an ethanol blend, such as E85.

FCEV - Fuel Cell Vehicle
A fuel cell vehicle is an electric vehicle that uses hydrogen fuel instead of a battery to produce electricity. There are no moving parts, as the fuel cell utilizes a catalyst to perform a chemical process that combines oxygen from the air with hydrogen fuel to produce electricity.

Fuel Efficiency
Using the least amount of fuel to drive the farthest number of miles. This can be measured miles per gallon, which is standard in the U.S., or in gallons per mile, which is more common in the rest of the world.

Gas Mileage Devices
There are a variety of gas mileage devices on the market. Popular items include the EV Mode Option, the Kiwi dashboard plug-in which teaches you how to drive more efficiently, and Juiced Hybrid’s custom Voltage System GT, which stabilizes the voltage in your car.

Green Car Cleaners
From car wax to green towels, various green car cleaners and supplies help you keep your ride looking good while still being environmentally friendly.

Hybrid Car
A hybrid car refers to a vehicle that has two sources of power: gasoline and electricity. Today's hybrids combine a gasoline engine with one or more electric motors (and a traction battery pack). In the automotive sense, this is a vehicle that has a gasoline-powered engine and an electric engine that work together to deliver better gas mileage, usually 40+ mpg. The batteries are recharged by systems like regenerative braking. The 1999 Honda Insight was the first commercially available hybrid; the Toyota Prius became the first popular hybrid car.

Hybrid Car battery
There are two batteries on hybrid vehicles, the traction battery and the auxiliary 12-volt battery, which powers accessories and the car's computer.

Hybrid Car Engine
In hybrid cars, engine refers to the gasoline combustion engine, not the electric motor.

Hybrid Synergy Drive
Toyota's next generation hybrid powertrain, improving upon the Toyota Hybrid System in the original Prius.

Hydrogen Fuel Cell
These cells use hydrogen gas and air to create an electrical current to power a vehicle, with only water as a byproduct. Creating an infrastructure of hydrogen fueling stations has been an obstacle to the manufacture of hydrogen-powered cars.

ICE
Internal Combustion Engine. The same old gasoline-powered engine we’ve been driving all our lives.

Liquified Natural Gas
Natural gas that has been cooled to form a transportable liquid. Vehicles that run on LNG cannot use any other type of fuel without major modifications.

Lithium Ion
A type of battery used in cell phones, laptops, and electric cars. These batteries store a lot of energy for their weight.

Low-Emission Level Standards
There are several measurement standards for low-emission cars, including California Air Resources Board standards known as LEV II, Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (ULEV) and Super Ultra Low Emission Vehicle (SULEV) standards. There is also a Federal standard called Tier 2-Bin 3.

LNG
Liquified Natural Gas. See above.

MPG
Miles per gallon. The number of miles a car can travel on one gallon of gasoline or other liquid fuel.

NHTSA
National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The NHTSA administrates the CAFE Standards, based on fuel efficiency data from the EPA.

NiCd
Nickel Cadmium sometimes called NiCad. A type of rechargeable battery used in electric cars.

NiMH
Nickel Metal Hydride. A type of rechargeable battery used in electric cars.

PHEV
Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle. See Plug-in Hybrid.

Plug-in Hybrid
A vehicle that has a gasoline-powered engine and a bank of batteries that can be recharged by plugging them into an outlet. These vehicles usually use the electric motor for 40 or so miles, then the gasoline engine as a backup. The supposedly forthcoming Chevy Volt is a PHEV.

Receiver Drop Hitch
Alternately called trailer hitches, a receiver drop hitch lets you tow trailers with your car.

Regenerative braking
Regenerative braking is a feature in hybrid cars that allows the motor to act as a generator when braking. The process converts kinetic energy of the car's motion into electric energy that recharges the battery.

Vehicle to Grid
Technology that allows electric utility companies to reclaim small amounts of energy from plugged-in EVs. Boulder, Colorado, has a pioneering VtG program.

Water Car
Proponents of the idea of running a car on water say it’s a similar energy conversion process to hydrogen fuel cells. The conversion of energy, though, seems to lose a lot along the way, making any benefit null.

Window Deflectors
Add window deflectors to reduce wind noise while still allowing fresh air to come into your car.

Install Car Speakers

Installing car speakers can be somewhat overwhelming if it is something that you have never done before. You must feel comfortable with your car and the speaker setup before you attempt taking anything apart and putting in new speakers. Installing speakers sounds hard but it doesn’t have to be. It is quite likely that after you’ve done it you will be surprised at how easy it really is. If you do not know what you are doing, you can easily learn. It also may be a good idea to have a friend help you if you have several speakers to install.

If you really do not feel comfortable installing the speakers yourself, seek out a professional to do it for you. There are many professionals that offer speaker installation. However, it can become quite expensive. If you choose to have someone else install them, shop around for someone that will do it at a reasonable price. You may want to ask around or look online for good customer reviews as well. Ask friends and family if they can recommend anyone. For such a simple procedure, you do not want to pay too much or have it done incorrectly.
If you make the choice to install your own car speakers, start by reading over the enclosed instructions. All speakers should come with instructions to guide you through the process. If you do not have any, inquire at the store you purchased them from or look up the brand online. You may be able to obtain some that way. Make sure that you determine which tools you need for installing your speakers. There is no sense in getting started if you do not have everything that you need.

Most speakers simply require that you remove the screws holding them in place. You should see in the instructions where the wires are attached and how to detach them properly. This should only take a few minutes and should not be confusing if you have the right instruction information. Putting the new speakers in the exact same way is pretty basic. Hook up the wires and screw the speaker down as the previous ones were. There should even be a diagram of this in your instructions.

Make sure that when you put everything back together, you take care not to leave any wires exposed. This could be incredibly dangerous if left unattended. Exposed wires are an indication that the speakers may not have been correctly installed. You must take care to avoid any potential electrical issues inside your car. You don’t want to risk having a fire break out.

Car speaker installation is pretty straight forward. Basically, as you take the old speakers out, you should see how the new ones will go in. Things like tweeters, sub woofers or amplifiers may require additional work but following the instructions will make it a breeze. Installing speakers does not have to be difficult. Though it can be tempting to ignore them, it is not really a good idea. Do it right the first time and you will be driving in musical style once again.

Choosing Car Audio

When it comes to automotive accessories, speakers are easily among the most popular. Though many drivers are perfectly satisfied with their factory speakers, the rest are seeking better ways to achieve bigger sound. The world of car audio is very large and if you are not familiar with it, it may appear to be confusing. There are a lot of options available when selecting the right car audio system for your car. Newcomers may want to do some careful research first because selecting the wrong system for your car or personal preference may result in a product that you have to return.

Start by getting acquainted with the various parts and components of a speaker system. Tweeters, subwoofers and amplifiers are the main components that you will find. Tweeters are great for perfecting the higher sounds while amps and subwoofers are designed to improve the quality of the bass. Not every car will need all of these parts just to have a nice sound. Larger vehicles may require more speakers than a small one. Determine what you need based on the size and shape of your car as well as your personal preference. Getting the right system may require professional assistance. Do not be afraid to ask for help.
Comparing prices and quality is very essential when purchasing any electronic equipment. Do not go for either the cheapest or the most expensive speakers right off the bat. That is not enough to make a decision to buy. You need to know how the product works, if it suits your needs and what others think of it. Look up brands and styles on consumer review websites to discover if others find it to be a worthy spend. People are brutally honest online because they have nothing to hide. It’s a great way to get the inside scoop on various products.

Some people make the mistake of loading their vehicle up with speakers, thinking that more is better. However, that is rarely the case. Having too many speakers can actually dirty up your sound so that it is distorted and not at all what you want. Likewise, a misplaced subwoofer or amplifier will likely get you a noise complaint rather than impress the neighborhood. This is yet another great reason to seek out some advice from a professional in the audio industry. Clarity and quality has got to be the bottom line. For music of all types and even talk radio, the best speakers are the ones suited to your car.

The majority of people require basic speakers though there are speakers designed for competition purposes. This is a whole other category of car speakers. Choosing wisely is what makes the difference between good speakers and fantastic speakers. Check over all warranty and return information to ensure that you don’t buy into something that you will be stuck with in the event it is damaged or deficient. Having the right car audio system can make all the difference in the quality sound of your favorite music.

Brand New Volkswagen Polo

You know the saying, “Big deals come in small packages”? That has never been so true until Volkswagen Polo came into picture. The supermini Volkswagen Polo is a supercool convenience. You talk about Polo Match, Polo Mk series or Polo Bluemotion- nearly all the VW Polo models brought an impressive success in the European markets. And there’s no reason for not being able to do that- this real driving car is an appealing package- convenience, comfort, style, safety, design, smart driving, and everything one can expect from a classic car.

A complete VW Polo fan as I am, particularly of my Match, I have something to share. When the brand new Volkswagen Polo Match marked its presence in the market, it created a swinging wave. Along with the advanced technologies, what enticed many passionate Polo Volkswagners were the two never thought before features- Rear Parking Sensor and Electronic Engine Immobiliser.
These are the real amazing features so to say. The Rear Parking Sensor helps in detecting the objects located behind your Polo. As and when an object is to strike the vehicle, the sensor in the bumper emits a beep. When the object gets closer, the sound signal gets more frequent.

For the Electronic Engine Immobiliser, the hype is worth it. The security code present in the keys makes the key unique and prevents the car from being stolen. As the Polo Match starts only with the key (with the security code), it prevents any pseudo key, even of the same style and imprint, to open it. These features really convinced many buyers to go for the then brand new Volkswagen Polo.

Now the news has it that a small but tough brand new Volkswagen Polo is to arrive shortly. The next generation VW Polo will arrive this year, premier very likely in Geneva. If the car industry experts are to be believed, the new VW Polo car would use the PQ25, the 1,4- liter TFSI. According to the rendered speculations, it would probably also feature a new 1.6 liter TDI and a new visual identity with quite a lot of enhanced features.

While the VW lovers only wait to watch, hope the next generation VW Polo matches the renderings. The renderings pose it as a supermini car with high class convenience – so hopefully, that’s the next generation brand new Volkswagen Polo for you!

What Would You Choose, ‘new Or Old Car Dealers’?

Whenever you plan to purchase a car, a many things come into your mind viz. your personal tastes, experiences and finance. All together, these things determine your ultimate decision. There are pros and cons of both forms of cars either the new one or the old one. It does not matter whether you are making the deal with new car dealer or old car dealer or any individual party. There is something good and bad as well with all sorts of deal. As a wise car customer, we can avoid negative aspect and hence we need to know each and every aspect of different varieties of deals.

The most popular trend is to purchase the car through authorized dealership and it is divided into two types, New and Old car dealer. The best part of new car dealership is its ‘certified used cars with the warranty based on time periods or distance covered’. Normally new cars come with huge price tag and it becomes an annoying reason with the new car. Few rotten apples spoil the good one and it happens here as well. For instance, salesman works on commission basis. So, they opt whatever go in their best interest.
In authorized dealership categories, we can also go with used car dealer. Normally used car dealer offers lower price for the car with no warranty card. One can also approach private party or any individual for new or used car deal. The biggest upside of private party or individual deal is the most economic price. Such sorts of dealers use to be immensely motivated to sell the product at any price. So, in this sort of deal you must have good knowledge of the car so that you could minutely check and ensure yourself regarding quality of the product.

On the other hand private party may not be trustworthy and vehicle may have certain legal issues. So, it is major concern where one needs to be more conscious. Sometimes, private parties may have emotional attachment with their vehicle. They may have feeling that the paid amount is not good enough and may ask more from you. So, be careful, sometimes deals in more than one phase may be reason for overpriced.

In recent years it has been the Japanese and Korean car manufacturers that have cornered the reliability stakes of motor vehicle manufacturing and they continue to do so without any real competition from their European counterparts. In fact, not one motor vehicle hailing from the occident has made it onto the elite list of the top 10 most reliable cars on the road.

Right up until twenty years ago, motor vehicles may have been sexy and sassy but they weren’t necessarily built with the long haul in view. Manufacturers concentrated more on sleek lines and aerodynamics rather than on steadfast reliability.

But all this changed in the 1980’s with the introduction of extended vehicle warranties. For the first time, manufacturers were held responsible for teething problems and other manufacturing faults and from then on in it wasn’t so much the good looks and charisma that sold the end product but the reliability factor that eclipsed all others in importance.

Increasingly more time and technology have been earmarked to improve safety features and the knowledge that the manufacturers would have to bear the cost of repair themselves has motivated a system greatly beneficial to the motorist.

The Europeans haven’t been knocked off their lofty pedestal completely; they are still the sector leaders in motor vehicle technology and remain the prime innovators of the industry. However, if you have any intention of buying a new car, or even a used car in Cape Town, we would advise you to have a good look at the list of the safest and most reliable cars on the road today.

Below are the top 10 most reliable cars on the road according to the warranty claims against each:

1. Honda Accord - what it lacks in style and pure sex appeal it gains in resolute reliability! Only 9.9% of Hondas needed to be repaired over a two year period and with a marketing message “Isn’t it nice when things just work?”, it seems more than apt that the Japanese-produced Honda claims the respected and important title of ‘most reliable’.
2. Subaru Forester - Japan can add the silver to the gold in the reliability Olympics as this car clocks in at second place. Not the best looking of motor vehicles, it is tough and tenacious, especially on difficult and rugged off-roads. With a spacious interior and dependable handling, it is a popular choice - but keep an eye on the consumption as it does have a reputation of being a bit of a gas guzzler.
3. Mazda MX5 - Well, well, well, the Japanese are clearly dominating these games and walk away with yet another winning model. This time it is from the Mazda stable, considered one of the top most trustworthy manufacturers. This elegant and sporty car has re-invented dependability and is today considered the most reliable convertible ever produced.
4. Mitsubishi Carisma - this makes it four in a row for Japan and although car fundis won’t go to the ends of the earth for this somewhat dull offering, it is still a great investment for the family man.
5. Toyota Yaris - yet another spectacular Japanese innovation, is right up there with the safest of vehicles on the roads. It recently claimed the highest crash test rating and its rather unsightly bonnet conceals a unique Minimal Intrusion Cabin System, which disperses energy from impact through the body.
6. Honda Civic - The powerful Honda stable has two in the top ten with the Civic model. The most popular of the Honda range, the Civic boasts a sizeable interior, making it the ideal family car.

The remaining manufacturers that have made it onto the top ten are Nissan, Hyundai and Lexus, so if you are considering replacing your set of wheels with a new or used car, forget the graceful lines and outsized engines and opt for safety instead by going east, young man.

Hybrid Cars, The Prototype Of Modern Vehicles

Mercedes-Benz has taken the wraps off of its first hybrid car for passenger, the S400 Blue HYBRID. Based on the S350, this mild hybrid auto pairs an electric motor/generator and the first lithium-ion battery in a production car with a specially tuned version of the company's 3.5L V6 driving the wheels through a 7-speed automatic transmission.

Lithium-ion batteries are ideally suited for use in hybrid vehicles to help reducing fuel consumption and thus also CO2 emissions. At the same time, the Daimler engineers are investigating to what degree this technology can be applied to other vehicle concepts, such as electric and fuel cell-powered cars.

Current hybrid vehicles use nickel-metal hydride batteries, but the lithium-ion alternatives are known to offer greater efficiency, as well as a better overall weight-to-power ratio. The problem with integrating the Li-ion technology was in securing their stability—they became far too hot to be a viable option in a hybrid vehicle. Fortunately, Mercedes-Benz has 25 patents it is confident solves the dilemma of battery overheating, whether they stay on target for 2009 is another matter, but we certainly wouldn't doubt them.

The assist from the electric motor gives the S400 an agile feel and more immediate throttle response, although it doesn't feel as strong as our V-8-powered base S-class, the 382-hp S550. The kick from the electric motor is limited to only about 15 seconds because of the relatively small lithium-ion battery pack, and the electric motor only works up to 4000 rpm. But the boost is useful for low-speed acceleration and even in passing maneuvers. In all other driving situations, the S400 feels pretty much like a conventional S350.

Although the electric motor cannot power the S400 by itself, it does allow the gasoline engine to shut off when slowing to speeds below 9 mph, when coming to a stop, and when idling. When stopped, and with the gasoline engine asleep, the lithium-ion battery powers the accessories such as air conditioning as well as the electro-hydraulic steering. When the driver lifts his foot off the brake pedal, the gasoline engine whirs quickly to life without any hesitation or odd vibrations.

Thomas Weber, member of the Daimler AG Board of Management and responsible for Group Research and Mercedes-Benz Cars Development says: "What we have here is a groundbreaking key technology that is going to be a decisive factor for the future success of the automotive industry. That is a tribute to our intensive research efforts, which we have been conducting in this area since 1992."

With the new S-Class, Daimler has become the first European automobile manufacturer to launch a vehicle with a hybrid engine and the innovative lithium-ion battery. The S 400 Blue HYBRID consumes only 7.9 liters of gasoline per 100 km in the NEDC. This results in very low CO2 emissions of only 190 grams per kilometer, a very low value for this vehicle class and power class, making the S 400 Blue HYBRID the world's most economical luxury sedan

What’s more important to consumers is that the battery pack is installed in the engine compartment, where it replaces the conventional starter battery. This means that the interior space and boot capacity of the S400 remain unchanged. Additionally, thanks to its compact dimensions and modular design, the additional weight of the overall hybrid system including the comprehensive safety systems is only 75 kg or 165 lbs.

Body Kits Make The Cars Look Cool

Body Kits Make The Cars Look Cool
After you have acquired a car you can consider car after market products. Body kits are a great option amongst car aftermarket products.

A lot of mature thinking is required while installing these body kits. Imagine an author writing a book. Both the author and publisher are satisfied with the work. Now imagine yourself as a buyer of the book.

In a book shop you would see a row of books lined in the shelves. You do not know their contents. Those may be award winning books, but what you initially see are their covers and wrappers. If these are attractive and beautiful and grab your attention you will go for the book. The publisher therefore tries to make the covers and wrappers attractive. The same applies to a car.

You carefully select a car by evaluating its pick up, its speed, its mileage, and its safety features. You may be satisfied by its performance but others evaluate it initially by its looks. Their evaluation is not restricted to only your car. They judge your personality and tastes by the looks of your car. Whatever may be your profession or vocation you can not afford to be misjudged due to being casual in selecting body kits. Ilovebodykits.com will play a useful role in helping you in selecting proper body kits.

No doubt, proper body kits do considerably enhance the looks of a car, but these are not mere objects of adornment. They have their specified functions. For example the front and rear bumpers have to be sturdy. The importance of carefully choosing body kits cannot be understated.

Proper selection of car and body kits is not the end of your work. The selected body kits have to be properly installed. A professional who is an expert in his job has to be engaged for this job.

You can go to Ilovebodykits.com for information on a wide range of body kits. Your car will not only give you satisfaction by its performance, but also bring admiration from those who see your car. They will not see only your car but your personality as projected by the body kit.

Are You Looking To Buy A Car?

We are gradually sliding down the long, slippery slope to economic depression, and it`s a global financial phenomenon that is going to affect everyone in one way or another, and the motor industry is no different. Even the biggest manufacturers aren`t safe from the credit crunch that`s turned into a credit lunch, with VW recently having been bought by Porsche and the depreciation of most used vehicles becoming steeper regardless of brand or pedigree. However, as a result this is arguably one of the best times to buy a car, used or new, as retailers, dealerships, superstores and manufacturers are looking to offload their stocks to nearly anyone with a few quid left in their pockets because the financial crisis has reduced car sales drastically in what is a sales driven industry. Deals on new cars with massive price reductions and relatively good financing options are quite easy to find, and if you`re in the market for a used vehicle you`ll be able to get a good spec, nearly new model for the fraction of the price that it was originally sold at.

Buying Tips

The most important thing to check when buying a car, especially a used one, is the car log book and the service history to check that the cars operating life can be accounted for and any damage repairs or accidents that occurred are made apparent to you before you make your purchase. Going to a reputable dealer of approved used cars is the best way to ensure this, as they will have thorough testing schemes and only sell the best examples of the cars that they see. In the current financial climate you might also want to consider the fuel efficiency of your new car, and the tax implications of its engine size, all of which will affect the cost of motoring. Using the internet to check stats and details prior to heading to the dealer is the best way to arm yourself against salesmen`s tactics. When it comes to buying or selling a good place to start is one of the many online classified ads websites, as these tend to be either free or cheap and offer a good selection of different cars.

Financing Options

There are so many ways of financing your purchase of a car that you should stop and consider your options and avoid committing to the first package you`re offered. Most dealerships will try and bundle their own financing into the deal, but this may not be suitable and prove more costly over time than a bank loan or finance from a 3rd party group. Some insurance companies offer dual packages that include financing for your vehicle in the policy, and most large banks offer current and new customers great deals, especially in the current climate in which the motor industry is desperate for cash flow and new customers to avoid stagnation.

Insurance Suggestions

Insuring your car can still be a bit of a hassle, especially if you`re buying a new car and have invested a lot of money in your purchase which you want to be secured in the result of an accident or theft of your car that requires a claim to provide a replacement of equal value and age. The best way to search for cheap car insurance is to use one of the many price comparison websites available on the internet. These work by taking details about yourself and your car and then sending them off to many big name insurance companies and brokers at once and returning with quotes and offers in a matter of seconds. You can tailor the kind of package you need, whether fully comprehensive or third party only, as well as searching through specialist insurance companies if your vehicle is an imported, classic or performance model. Additionally in these financially uncertain times you might consider car gap insurance if your vehicle is new or expensive. This kind of insurance will usually cover your car up to the original amount that you paid for it, not just up to the market value of the car when the claim was made. With rapidly increasing depreciation and the difficulty of resale this kind of insurance is easy to recommend to anyone.

The Handling Of Antique Cars

If you're lucky enough to own an antique car, then you likely experience that there's just no feeling like it. Being capable to fool around in a Corvette or Mustang or any pattern when it was introductory fabricated is a thrill like no other. Sure, today's cars carry their charm and in several ways are even a lot safer than these classics, but many of these antique cars were constructed with a craftsmanship that you can't find today. They are more than just machines; they are real plays of artwork.

On the other hand, to really get the most out of your antique cars it's significant that you study special care of them. Simply same an ancient person has various needs when it falls to "maintenance" than a junior person, ancient cars need a bit more than tender loving concern than one rolling off the lot today.

Your initial doubt might be about the difference between antique cars and classical cars. Visualize that there is really a natural law saying that a car wants to be 25 years former before it can actually be technically named antique. However, the word "classic" is not a practiced terminus and one that is only used to identify any car that numerous souls love. Your brand fresh Mustang may be a classic to many another but obviously cannot be called an antique.

When it arrives to wishing for antique cars think that many of their components are really ancient and slightly worn out; this is something that numerous owners blank out because frequently they take wide pains to restore the consistency and exterior of the car and leave that hoses, belts, pumps, and other mechanical characteristics are in less than major condition. Putting a plenty of wear on antique cars by speeding the engine, jerky braking, and maneuvers like these is just going to add more wear and tear on those parts that are probably already straining as it is. It's strategic then to also make sure the fluids and crude of the car are altered on a regular basis, as these help to sustain those components on the car and observe them in pleasant repair.

Driving carefully is only one part of taking care of antique cars. They should go stored properly, out of harsh weather circumstances that might cause rust, and should as well be sealed as well. The type of paint that was utilized on numerous antique cars cannot suffer up so advisable to rough rain and pollution the way today's paints are designed to.

Think back too that if you are in the habit of taking out any of your antique cars for a driving, you require special policy for them. Some auto insurance companies specialize in this type of coverage and can publish up a policy that is fashioned around how often and how far you typically study the vehicle - many antique cars are used only for troops and exhibitions, whereas some of the ones we may call "muscle cars" are applied on occasional weekends.

Buying A Portable Dvd Player For Your Car

When buying a DVD player for your car, it is advisable to consider portable players. Portable DVD players reduce the monotony of traveling and also offer some form of peace in regard to the provision of headphones. Nowadays, vehicles come with a standard DVD player that is built-in, but one can add their personal Multimedia system or DVD player into their existing vehicle. When a family vehicle is installed with a DVD player, besides the kids maintaining silence on the road trips, passengers on the front seats are provided with a diversion when faced by bland highway scenery. The latter largely depends on which position of the car the DVD player is mounted. Due to the illegalities and risk of drivers watching DVD players while driving, there are particular systems that permit passengers to make use of headphones while listening and watching the DVD, and in the meantime, a CD plays through the stereo speakers specifically for any other passenger on the front seat and the driver. While shopping for a DVD player for your car, one should consider buying those that have an ability of displaying favorite movies through small screens while the sound they pump out is comparable to bigger machines of the same version.

One main advantage of the portable DVD player is that one can use it even away from the car like in cruise ships, airplanes, hotels or even campsites. It is also compatible and can be connected to larger TV screens or home theaters through a digital optical link with S-video and audio cables, while disregarding the provided RCA cables. Choosing a DVD player for your car largely depends on one’s budget and needs. Portable DVD players can be purchased and for power, they are simply plugged into the cigarette lighter of the car. The removal of portable DVD players is rather easy, but those built specifically for vehicles are permanently mounted. When a design of the component system is the client’s choice, it is possible to mount the monitor on brackets or opt to replace the normal headrests with the monitor embedded ones. The folding down monitors who are also available in the market is, usually installed in the ceiling, similar to those on airplanes.

Similar to buying home DVD players, when buying a car DVD player, one requires choosing one capable of playing the same type of formats of the DVD that they use. This is especially important when one records their own DVDs and in the case of burning personal DVDs, the one required should be capable of playing DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, or DVD-R, though this depends on the particular format in use. In the case of batteries, most setups of DVDs requiring batteries come inclusive of rechargeable batteries. Some are even capable of using AA batteries in emergencies where the rechargeable batteries run out. When buying a DVD player with a theater system that is full-fledged and is incorporated with a TV tuner, one should buy a good quality antenna to receive perfect reception. On antennas, users are strongly recommended by experts to specialize on dual antennas.

Honda Customers Seeing A Whole New Generation Of Vehicles

by: Jim Harris

If you have been following what's going on in the news these days, it's easy to see that a lot of great things have been happening for Honda customers. It seems like Honda has been quite busy lately thinking up new ways to introduce some new high volume vehicles. For people who were looking for more fuel efficency, the Honda Fit was introduced to North American not that long ago. This was Honda's way of providing city dwellers with a fuel efficient commuter that also has plenty of cargo space.

With the arrival of the all-new 2008 Accord, there is cause for celebration. If we Look at the all new redesigned vehicle, we see that it is a very practical and unassuming car. For more than three decades, we baby boomers have matured, along with the Honda Accord. This shows us that these latest Hondas prove that maturity can also mean excellence. Equipped with a V6 engine, six-speed manual transmission, and plenty of extras the Accord actually becomes fun to drive.

With the introduction of the all new CR-Z concept car, Honda is pushing the limits on bringing true sport and the latest technology together. This new breed of vejicle is poised to set Honda apart from it's competitors in the Hybrid market. Honda calls the CR-Z a lightweight sports car, indicating that it will have the performance to backup its sporty looks. The interior design of the CR-Z has the look and feel of a Hi-tech and Sporty vehicle, which has been achieved by a very futuristic instrument panel. Honda also designed the interior to seem very airy and spacious by using mesh material on a simple framework.

Next we see the Honda SUT Concept which is a next-generation truck concept that takes a clean slate approach to the light-duty truck segment. It combines a roomy and practical SUV-style interior and a pickup-style cargo bed with traditional Honda strengths. This includes refined styling, superior ergonomics, innovative design and world-class build quality.

The truck market is evolving to meet the changing tastes of a new generation of truck buyers, so the Honda SUT Concept takes this evolution to the next level with higher levels of refinement and sophistication in a sporty and socially responsible package with Honda durability, quality and reliability.

And finally, Honda has recently confirmed it's plans to bring the exciting "green" cars into production. The FCX hydrogen fuel cell car and a lightweight, hybrid sportscar will both be built - with a production version of the FCX making its debut next month. ear And next, based on the FCX concept, the all-new FCV will be marketed to fleet and retail customers in both the U.S. and Japan. The Honda FCV will provide all the creature comforts and safety most expect while the undisclosed specifications of the Honda V Flow fuel cell stack will provide performance equivalent to most modern day sedans while producing zero emissions other than water and heat.

So as you can see, Honda customers have a lot to look forward to as Honda continues to look at the future of vehicle engineering for a whole new generation of drivers.

The Soul Of Kia

by: Dan Mercurio

Kia has Soul and is trying to sell it to the American car buyers. But this probably comes as no surprise to the American public The Soul we are talking about was announced earlier this year in 2007 at the International Auto Show. It is believed that this car was named “Soul” to represent the cars Korean origin and the combined efforts of both Korea and their North American counter parts in California. The 2008 Kia Soul combines tastes and design in an effort to bring new life to a concept car that truly does have a soul of its own.

Kia’s new Soul concept car has a design that hopes to attract a younger, more active group of buyers. The modern stylish package offered standard along with new exterior features puts it all together for those looking for taste and style all in one.

The interior of the Soul is cram packed with one awesome and fully customizable multimedia communications system. In addition, mood lighting, a wide cargo area and a remote powered lift gate rounds out an interior that meets everyone’s expectations and then some.

When we look closer at the exterior of this wonderful pint sized new vehicle, we find a roof that houses not just one but two sun roofs, one in the front that is moveable and a rear window that is hinged. This design creates a panoramic sun/moon roof that adorns the Kia Soul’s sloped roofline. This allows Kia Soul occupants to enjoy open-air driving while also taking advantage of panoramic views. In addition, the Soul’s roof features adjustable roof racks integrated into the design. This design is intended to create an open, uninterrupted passenger cabin.

To add additional style to the interior, the audio systems speakers were made part of the overall design by making them a different color than the dash board which allows them to stand out. The small thin framed seats are a slight shade off the color of the speakers, and provide seating for four with a long center console that divides the first and second rows.

With its efforts to appeal to a younger more active generation, and realizing that today’s vehicles are becoming more of a mobile office, the Soul comes equipped with a video game monitor and a laptop computer that swings out of the glove box. The design allows it to be operated from either the driver or passenger side seats.

The hip, urban feel of the Kia Soul is enhanced by unique interior lighting. Rather than utilizing a standard dome light, lighting shines from around the moon roof, as well as from the trim of the door panels.

Kia wants to inspire passion in young car buyers, and to accomplish this, the Kia Soul will provide a unique and dynamic vehicle in the increasingly crowded compact SUV market allowing the Soul Concept crossover SUV to be its roadmap to success.

Kia Motors is stepping outside of the shadow of its competitors and making a significant place for itself in the key SUV sector.
