Rossi Masih Pakai Setting Motor Hayden di Estoril

Jakarta - Untuk balapan di Estoril akhir pekan ini, Valentino Rossi memilih mempertahankan setingan motor yang sama seperti yang dipakai di Jerez. Mengadopsi setting milik Nicky Hayden, Desmosedici GP12 dinilai lebih menjanjikan.

"Rencananya adalah memulai di hari Jumat (free practice pertama) denan setting yang kami pakai di Jerez, karena saya pikir itu lebih memiliki potensi untuk membawa kami maju," sahut Rossi seperti dikutip dari Autosport.

Rossi sesungguhnya menjalani balapan MotoGP Spanyol di Sirkuit Jerez dengan kurang memuaskan karena dia cuma dapat posisi start ke-13. Namun saat balapan, dengan dirinya mendapat setting-an baru yang mengadopsi milik Hayden, The Doctor merasa lebih cocok.

Karenanya usai balapan di Spanyol akhir pekan kemarin, dia berani menantap positif balapan di Portugal, Minggu (6/5/2012) lusa.

"Kita akan lihat apakah kami akan bisa melangkah maju dan meraih hasil yang lebih baik lagi," lanjut Rossi.

Finis kelima di Estoril musim lalu, Rossi masih tercatat sebagai pembalap paling sukses di sana dengan sudah lima kali jadi juara. Itu bisa jadi bekal bagus buatnya untuk bisa kembali bersaing di papan atas.

"Saya menyukai lintasan Estoril. Ada beberapa bagian yang menjebak dan cuacanya bisa sangat tak terduga, tapi saya suka membalap di sana," tuntas Rossi.
